On Friday 11 July, I had the great pleasure of attending the most recent production by Birmingham-based theatre company Acting Out.  The performance, titled 'Through Til Dawn' was an original script, written and directed by company member Kevin Barnard.

The show is a blend of raucous comedy and unexpected tragedy, and the capacity audience were enthralled by it.  The company's next production will be their first foray into Shakespeare - with a performance of 'Romeo and Juliet' forthcoming in September.

All the Acting Out rehearsals and productions take place in the remarkable pub theatre located in the back of the Wellington Hotel, Birmingham.

It was such a pleasure to watch the show and meet some of the company - I'm really looking forward to a longer visit an with them in the autumn.
